Syntonics Phototherapy

Our office proudly offers Syntonics phototherapy, a form of photobiomodulation. Syntonics is a specialized branch of optometry where specific light frequencies are applied through the eyes to help restore balance to the autonomic nervous system (ANS). With over 100 years of practice in optometry field, Syntonics’ principles and protocols are well-established, making it one of the safest and most effective ways to regulate the autonomic nervous system.

We use functional color fields, pupillary light reactions, and patients’ self-reported symptoms to monitor treatment progress. Syntonics aims to balance the autonomic nervous system and expand the functional visual field.

Over the years, we have seen life-changing improvements in our patients through Syntonics. We treat individuals with a wide range of conditions, including learning-related vision problems, developmental delays, computer eye strain, vision symptoms following traumatic brain injury (PTVS), post-COVID vision issues, and vision/balance problems after meningitis.

Please take a moment to read about our patients’ experiences with Syntonics and how it has led to transformative benefits such as feeling calmer, improving sleep quality, enhancing reading ability, experiencing fewer headaches, reducing congestion, seeing better without glasses, and enjoying greater comfort while driving.

We will also assist our patients in choosing the best lighting for their space. Just as we’re mindful of the health impacts of junk food and air pollution, we often overlook the hidden effects of artificial light on our well-being. While you may have heard about the risks of blue light, the benefits of red/infrared light therapy, and the mixed recommendations regarding sunglasses, there are many misconceptions, and the market often exaggerates the benefits of these products. It’s important to be well-informed on these topics for the sake of your vision health and overall well-being.
